This summer I was a keynote speaker at the Nature Conservancy's Volunteer Leadership Summit. My job was to help prepare the TNC trustees and volunteers from around the country for a day of lobbying on Capitol Hill. I reminded them that it is their personal stories that have the greatest impact. Facts and figures are nice - but stories are what really make a difference.
